Star Wars Celebration unveiled Rory McCann stepping into Baylan Skoll's role for Ahsoka Season 2. McCann assumes the mantle following Ray Stevenson's passing three months before the series premiere.
Series creator Dave Filoni discussed the transition, praising Stevenson's iconic portrayal: "Ray set such a powerful blueprint - he was magnificent both on and off screen." Filoni expressed confidence that McCann's interpretation would honor Stevenson's legacy.
"Baylan serves as Ahsoka's perfect counterpart," Filoni noted. "We're fortunate Rory approached this role with complete dedication to preserving Ray's vision."
The panel confirmed Hayden Christensen's return as Anakin Skywalker following his pivotal Season 1 appearance. While details remain scarce, Christensen shared his enthusiasm:
"Exploring the World Between Worlds through Anakin's perspective was incredible," the actor revealed. "I especially loved portraying Clone Wars-era Anakin in live-action for the first time."
Filoni joked about creating "entire dimensions" to facilitate Anakin's return, highlighting the creative team's commitment to deepening Ahsoka and Anakin's relationship.
