As part of the 5th Edition's 10th-anniversary celebration, Dungeons and Dragons has been revamping its core rulebooks. The journey began with the new Player’s Handbook on September 17, followed by the Dungeon Master’s Guide on November 12. Now, the much-anticipated Monster Manual completes the trio.
The 2024 Monster Manual teases over 500 streamlined stat blocks, featuring 85 brand-new creatures, 40 humanoid NPCs, and variations of familiar monsters such as the primeval owlbear, the vampire umbral lord, and their nightbringer minions. High-level monsters like the CR 21 arch-hag and the CR 22 elemental cataclysm have been enhanced with streamlined attacks and revamped Legendary Actions, making them formidable foes.
