Studio head Denis Havel highlighted the strategy to engage the TikTok audience, aiming to deliver quick, compelling snippets of story, art, and audio for a deeply engaging entertainment experience.
Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots for the mobile version. The game features new 360-degree scenes designed to immerse players in the world of Revachol, complemented by full voiceover audio to enhance character depth and immersion.
The official description reads:This is a total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium, designed to cater to the habits of today's mobile users. This story-rich adventure has been optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to dive in anytime, anyplace on their mobile devices.
Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," tailored for short bursts of play.
Disco Elysium is set to launch on mobile via Google Android in the summer of 2025.
It's important to note that, despite the studio name remaining the same, many key figures involved in the original Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Several of these former members are now working on spiritual successors to the game.
