Should You Pull for Makiatto in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium? A Comprehensive Guide

Makiatto's arrival in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium has many commanders questioning whether she's worth the investment. This guide offers a balanced perspective, weighing her strengths against potential drawbacks.

Is Makiatto Worth It?

The short answer is a resounding yes, provided you have the resources. Even in the established CN server, Makiatto consistently ranks among the top single-target DPS units. However, her effectiveness hinges on manual control; she's not ideal for auto-play. This limitation is offset by her Freeze-type abilities, creating potent synergy with Suomi, a top-tier support character.

Therefore, Makiatto is a highly recommended addition, especially if you already possess Suomi and aim to build a formidable Freeze team. Even without a dedicated Freeze team, her raw DPS makes her a valuable asset as a secondary DPS unit.

Reasons to Pass on Makiatto

While Makiatto is generally excellent, certain scenarios might make her acquisition less crucial:

  • Already possessing a strong core team: If your reroll yielded Qiongjiu, Suomi, and Tololo, Makiatto might offer diminishing returns. Tololo, despite a potential late-game DPS decrease (rumored to be addressed by future CN buffs), already provides substantial DPS alongside Qiongjiu. Adding Sharkry to support Qiongjiu further strengthens this composition. In this case, prioritizing future units like Vector and Klukay might be more strategically sound.

  • Lack of immediate need for a second team: Unless you require a powerful DPS character for immediate use in boss fights or to bolster a second team, Makiatto's impact might be limited if your primary team is already well-equipped.

Conclusion

Makiatto is a powerful addition to any Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium roster. However, consider your existing team composition and future plans before committing your resources. If you lack a strong DPS unit or aim to build a Freeze team, Makiatto is an excellent choice. Otherwise, saving Collapse Pieces for future units might be a more strategic approach.
