Xbox Game Pass Unveils Additions for January

Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled the first wave of Xbox Game Pass additions for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and announcing the departure of others. The January lineup brings a mix of genres, with something for most Game Pass subscribers.

The highlight is undoubtedly the arrival of Road 96, My Time at Sandrock, and Diablo, available now or later in the month. Six games will be leaving the service on January 15th.

New Games Arriving in January 2025:

  • Road 96: Available now across all Game Pass tiers (PC and Console). This choice-driven adventure game makes a welcome return to the service.
  • Lightyear Frontier (Preview): January 8th (Standard subscription). A sci-fi farming sim in early access.
  • My Time at Sandrock: January 8th (Standard subscription). A life-sim RPG.
  • Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders: January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • Rolling Hills: January 8th (Standard subscription).
  • UFC 5: January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate only).
  • Diablo: January 14th (Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass only).

Note that Diablo and UFC 5 are exclusive to certain tiers. Diablo requires a Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass subscription, while UFC 5 is limited to Game Pass Ultimate.

Beyond the games, new Game Pass Ultimate perks are also available, including in-game items for Apex Legends, First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

Games Leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15, 2025:

  • Escape Academy
  • Exoprimal
  • Figment
  • Insurgency Sandstorm
  • Those Who Remain

This is just the first half of January's lineup; Microsoft promises further announcements for the remainder of the month.
