Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can now enjoy EA Sports UFC 5 and Diablo, added to the service today, January 14th. These two titles, released nearly 27 years apart, mark the conclusion of Wave 1's January 2025 additions.
The legendary Diablo, a cornerstone of the hack-and-slash RPG genre, needs no introduction. UFC 5, the latest installment in EA Sports' popular MMA franchise, released in October 2023. Their inclusion showcases the diverse gaming experiences offered by Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.
While Microsoft prioritizes cross-platform titles, Diablo is currently PC-exclusive, and EA Sports UFC 5 requires an Xbox Series X/S for local play. However, Ultimate subscribers with sufficient internet speeds can stream UFC 5 via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
Activision Blizzard Games on Xbox Game Pass
With Diablo's arrival, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate now boasts over a dozen Activision Blizzard titles (counting Spyro and Crash trilogies as three games each). This represents a consistent addition rate since Microsoft's acquisition in late 2023, indicating a growing influx of Activision Blizzard games onto the platform.

Further announcements are expected before the January 23rd Xbox Developer Direct, which will showcase Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, South of Midnight, and Doom: The Dark Ages – all confirmed day-one Xbox Game Pass Ultimate titles slated for 2025. Note that six games will leave the service on January 15th, including Insurgency: Sandstorm and Those Who Remain.
