Thorncrown Rises Tower Locations

The Shadow of the Past quest is divided into three sub-quests, each associated with a tower:

• Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise: Located northeast of Thorncrown Rises.
• Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise: Located south of Thorncrown Rises.
• Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise: Located southwest of Thorncrown Rises.

Shadow of the Towers: Resounding Rise

This sub-quest begins by interacting with Itzel, positioned east of the Resounding Rise Tower. The tower's exploration involves:

1. Entering the tower via a painting at the hallway's end.
2. Tracking and defeating an Abyssal Mercator.
3. Collecting supply chests from the northern, western, and eastern rooms.
4. Navigating through additional paintings, encountering and defeating more Abyssal Mercators.
5. Solving a painting puzzle:
   • Move the top-left painting to the bottom-right.
   • Move the painting behind the top-left display to the bottom-left.
   • Move the top-right painting to the top-left.
   • Move the painting behind the bottom-right display to the top-right.
6. Claiming a Premium Supply chest.
7. A final encounter with an Abyssal Mercator.
8. Collecting a Tidal Supply chest from Itzel.

Completing this sub-quest weakens one of the Command Rise Tower barriers.

Shadow of the Towers: Twilight Rise

Proceed southeast to the Twilight Rise Tower and speak with Insula to begin. Inside, you'll encounter a time loop:

1. Investigate the three marked locations.
2. Converse with Insula.
3. Enter the secret passage beneath the elevator.
4. Defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
5. Follow and defeat the Abyssal Patricius again.
6. Collect a Tidal Supply chest from Insula.

This sub-quest's completion weakens the second Command Rise Tower barrier.

Shadow of the Towers: Command Rise

After completing the previous two sub-quests, this final part automatically begins. The steps involve:

1. Speaking with Insula and Itzel at the camp northeast of the Command Rise Tower.
2. Using the Wingray to reach the Command Rise Tower.
3. Entering the tower and following the quest markers.
4. Collecting supply chests throughout the tower.
5. Using the Grapple to ascend the tower, collecting more chests and Sonance Caskets: Ragunna along the way.
6. Utilizing the chandelier mechanism to reach the tower's peak.
7. Discovering Liel's demise and speaking with Insula and Itzel.
8. Using the portal to confront and defeat the Abyssal Patricius.
9. Collecting the Call of the Abyss Rectifier and a Premium Supply chest.

Exiting the tower and speaking to your companions awards you the King of Thessaleo and Shadow of the Tower achievements. This concludes the Shadow of the Past quest.
