World of Warcraft's Extended Timewalking Extravaganza: Seven Weeks of Turbulent Timeways
World of Warcraft players are in for a treat! The Turbulent Timeways event is back, and this time it's even bigger. Running for seven consecutive weeks until February 24th, this event offers a non-stop Timewalking experience across various expansions.
This extended event provides ample opportunities to earn a wealth of rewards, including a significant experience boost, numerous Timewarped Badges, and exciting new loot. The event builds upon the successful five-week run from September 2023, adding even more chances to earn the coveted Mastery of Timeways buff – a 20% experience increase earned after completing four Timewalking dungeons.
The Timewalking Tour:
The seven-week journey through time begins with Mists of Pandaria on January 7th and concludes with Cataclysm the week of February 18th. Each week features a different expansion's Timewalking content, including dungeons, raids, and quests.
Here's the complete schedule:
- January 7-13: Mists of Pandaria
- January 14-20: Warlords of Draenor
- January 21-27: Legion
- January 28-February 3: Classic
- February 4-10: The Burning Crusade
- February 11-17: Wrath of the Lich King
- February 18-24: Cataclysm
Rewards and Achievements:
Achieve Mastery of Timeways in five out of the seven weeks to unlock the "Mastery of the Turbulent Timeways 2" achievement and claim the adorable Timely Buzzbee mount! Timewalking vendors have refreshed their stock with permanent additions, including Season of Discovery transmogs at the Classic vendor. Plus, the Sandy Shalewing pet, previously only available during the initial Turbulent Timeways, makes a return. Completing the weekly Timewalking dungeon quest will also reward Heroic gear throughout the event.
A Hint at What's to Come:
The Turbulent Timeways' February 24th conclusion date offers a strong indication of future World of Warcraft content releases. Considering Blizzard's typical release schedule and the holiday season, the launch of Patch 11.1, "Undermined," is highly anticipated for February 25th, ten weeks after Patch 11.0.7. With this event, Plunderstorm's second run (January 14th – February 17th), and The War Within's upcoming major content update, World of Warcraft is setting the stage for an action-packed start to 2025.
