GO Battle Week Ends with Urshifu & G-Max Machamp.

The Might and Mastery season in Pokémon GO is drawing to a close. The concluding week, titled Final Strike: GO Battle Week, begins on May 21st, 2025. Running through May 27th, this week brings your Kubfu's journey to its exciting conclusion.

What’s Happening During Final Strike: GO Battle Week?

After weeks of training, it's finally time to evolve your determined Kubfu into the legendary Urshifu. You can even choose between two powerful forms! Your battle performance will determine whether you unlock the Single Strike or Rapid Strike style.

To obtain the Single Strike form, ensure Kubfu is your Buddy and defeat 30 Dark-type Pokémon in raids or Max Battles. For the Rapid Strike style during GO Battle Week, complete the same task but target 30 Water-type Pokémon.

A new Special Research continues the seasonal storyline and is available until June 3rd, 2025. Rewards include Kubfu Candy, Mysterious Components, and encounters with special Pokémon like a Charcadet with a unique background.

Mark Your Calendar for May 25th

This date features the Gigantamax Machamp Max Battle Day. Gigantamax Machamp makes its debut in six-star Max Battles from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. The event comes packed with several bonuses.

You'll only need to walk a quarter of the usual distance to earn Max Particles. Your Max Particle storage capacity increases to 1,600, and all Power Spots will exclusively host Gigantamax Battles. During the event, these battles yield 8× Max Particles, and you'll earn two additional Special Trades.

Finally, be sure to collect Max Mushrooms. They temporarily double the damage output of your Dynamax or Gigantamax Pokémon. Using multiple mushrooms extends the effect duration, though the power boost remains constant.
