Initiating "For Science!"
Locate Yaryk Mongoose within the Central Elevator area of the Chemical Plant. Upon approaching, you'll hear a radio conversation prompting you to meet him. Navigate left past conveyor belts, ascend the rusty stairs, and vault the railing to reach Mongoose on the first floor. He'll explain the need to activate a second measuring device atop a silo, initiating the quest.
Reaching the Silo's Peak
Ascend the building's stairs to the roof. Eliminate any rodents encountered. Exit through a broken window and descend the external ladder to the silo walkway. Equip your bolt-action weapon to counter electro anomalies. Proceed left along the silo's top to activate the measuring device. Be prepared for a Bloodsucker ambush upon activation. Choose to fight or evade them to reach Mongoose.
Confronting Mongoose
Upon confronting Mongoose, he'll explain the experiment's unforeseen consequences. You can choose to kill him or accept his explanation and reward. Both choices have no significant impact on the game's progression. Choosing the non-hostile option rewards you with the Malachite Pass and coupons, granting access to the STC Malachite base (if you haven't already gained access through the main storyline).
