Short Circuit Studio has rolled out a major content update "Shadows and Fortune" for TownsFolk, their recently released pixel-art settlement builder. Staying true to the game's atmospheric aesthetic, this update introduces fresh gameplay mechanics to explore.

Despite being newly launched, TownsFolk isn't holding back on expanding its gameplay depth. The update brings eight new buildings including an Altar, Town Square, Blacksmith, and Terraformer, plus hostile Barbarians that intensify both campaign quests and Skirmish mode.

Maritime areas now feature rare Whale encounters, while mysterious Special Locations like ancient Obelisks and Shipwrecks add unexpected discoveries throughout your journey.
