DC Studios has unveiled an exciting new trailer for the upcoming Superman movie, directed by James Gunn and set to hit theaters on July 11, 2025. The trailer, spanning three minutes, offers fans a deeper glimpse into the film's extensive ensemble of superheroes and villains.
In the trailer, viewers are treated to dynamic action sequences featuring Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner/Green Lantern, who effortlessly fends off adversaries. Isabela Merced also shines as Hawkgirl, and we get our most detailed look yet at María Gabriela de Faría's portrayal of The Engineer. Notably, it's The Engineer who takes down the robots, including Kelex, that tend to Superman in the Fortress of Solitude—a scene that was hinted at in a previous trailer where a heartbroken Superman was seen cradling Kelex post-battle.
The trailer doesn't shy away from showcasing the action, with Krypto the Superdog making a bold entrance by delivering a flying punch to The Engineer, proving he's more than ready to tackle any threat. Additionally, we see more of Lex Luthor, portrayed by Nicholas Hoult, alongside Ultraman in action-packed sequences. Edi Gathegi's Mister Terrific and Anthony Carrigan's Rex Mason/Metamorpho also feature prominently, adding depth to the superhero lineup. The newly introduced Hammer of Boravia, speculated to be Ultraman in disguise and created by Gunn for this film, makes a significant appearance in the full trailer following a teaser released the previous day.

The relationship between Clark Kent and Lois Lane takes center stage, with Lois conducting an interview with Clark in his Superman persona. Tension escalates as the interview turns into a heated argument over the ethics of Superman's controversial intervention in a foreign war. Clark defends his actions, stating, "I wasn’t representing anyone except for me... and doing good!" This intervention leads to a retaliatory attack by the Hammer of Boravia on Downtown Metropolis.
Amidst the chaos, a heartwarming scene emerges where a member of the public assists Superman out of a hole in the ground, contrasting sharply with other scenes where the public's reaction to Superman varies from screams of fear to outright hostility, throwing objects at him.
