Squid Game: Unleashed gets a Season Two boost! New content drops January 3rd to celebrate the hit show's return. Expect new characters, a fresh map, and exciting challenges. Plus, exclusive rewards await those who watch the new episodes!
Netflix's surprising holiday release of Squid Game: Unleashed – a free-to-play battle royale game – even for non-subscribers, is now followed by a clever strategy to engage players and attract new Netflix users. Earn in-game rewards by watching Season Two!
What's in store for existing players? The January 3rd update introduces a map inspired by the "Mingle" mini-game from Squid Game Season Two. Playable characters Geum-Ja, Yong-Sik, and rapper Thanos (not the Marvel villain!) debut throughout January.
Geum-Ja and Thanos each have special in-game events starting January 3rd and 9th respectively, offering ways to unlock them. Watching Squid Game Season Two earns you in-game Cash and Wild Tokens. Watching seven episodes unlocks the stylish Binni Binge-Watcher outfit!

Here's the January schedule for Squid Game: Unleashed:
- January 3rd: New "Mingle" map arrives alongside Geum-Ja. The Dalgona Mash Up Collection Event (until January 9th) challenges players to complete Mingle mini-games and collect Dalgona tins.
- January 9th: Thanos enters the fray with his "Thanos’ Red Light Challenge" recruitment event (until January 14th). Eliminate opponents using knives to unlock him.
- January 16th: Yong-Sik joins the roster as the final new character in this update.
Squid Game: Unleashed might be a game-changer for Netflix's gaming ambitions. The free-to-play model, combined with rewarding Netflix subscribers and incentivizing show viewing, is a shrewd approach to boosting both the game and the show's popularity.
