New Pokémon Sleep Companions: Sneasel and Weavile!

Pokémon Sleep players have a treat! As of December 3rd, Sneasel and Weavile are available to befriend. This guide explains how.

Where to Find Sneasel and Weavile

Given their dual Ice/Dark typing in the main series, you might expect them in a snowy location. In Pokémon Sleep, however, they're Dark-type only. You can find them at:

  • Snowdrop Tundra: Their primary habitat.
  • Greengrass Isle: Accessible to all players, regardless of progress.

Use an EZ Travel Ticket to switch islands if needed.

Sleep Types

Both Sneasel and Weavile are Dozing-type Pokémon. Increasing your chances of a Dozing sleep will significantly improve your odds of encountering them.

Sneasel is easier to find initially. Evolving it into Weavile requires 80 Sneasel Candy and a Razor Claw. However, you'll still need to encounter Weavile in the wild for research data.

Are They Worth It?

Sneasel's value lies in its berry-gathering abilities (Wiki Berries) and its "Tasty Chance S" skill, boosting dish quality. Its ingredient requirements include sought-after items, making a well-equipped Sneasel a valuable addition to your Snowdrop Tundra team.

Sneasel Debut Bundle

For a guaranteed Sneasel during its initial week, consider the "Pokémon Befriending Bundle (Sneasel) Vol. 1." Available from December 3rd to 9th, 2024, in the General Store for 1,500 Gems, this bundle includes biscuits, 2 Sneasel Incense (guaranteeing an encounter on appropriate islands), and 60 Sneasel Candy.
