Shiny Keldeo and Meltan are now available in Pokémon Home (version 3.2.2 and later), but obtaining them requires completing specific tasks. While challenging, acquiring Shiny Keldeo is particularly rewarding, as it was previously unobtainable legitimately and Shiny-locked. Both Shiny Keldeo and Shiny Meltan can then be transferred to other compatible Pokémon games linked to your Home account.

To receive Shiny Keldeo, you must complete the Galar Pokédex in Pokémon Sword & Shield, including entries from the Isle of Armor and Crown Tundra DLCs. Crucially, all Pokémon must possess the Galar origin mark (a slanted Poké Ball icon above their stats) indicating they originated from Sword & Shield or its DLC. Simply completing the Pokédexes in Sword & Shield itself is insufficient.
Once the Galar Pokédex is complete, access the "Mystery Gift" option via the three-line menu icon on the main screen.
There's no time limit to claim Shiny Keldeo.
Acquiring Shiny Meltan in Pokémon Home
Similarly, obtaining Shiny Meltan necessitates completing the Kanto Pokédex in Pokémon Home using Pokémon marked with the Let's Go marker (a Pikachu silhouette above stats) from Pokémon Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee.
Upon completion, Shiny Meltan will be available via the "Mystery Gift" option. Like Keldeo, there's no deadline for claiming it.
Troubleshooting Pokédex Registration Issues
Some mobile users experience Pokédex registration problems. To resolve this, clear your Pokémon Home app cache:
- Open the app and access the menu (three-line icon in the top-right corner).
- Select "Clear Cache." The game confirms that active data will remain intact.
- Tap "OK." A confirmation message appears upon successful cache clearing.
This should rectify any Pokédex registration issues.
