Lucasfilm has unveiled Star Wars: Starfighter, an exciting new space epic starring Ryan Gosling under Shawn Levy's direction, with theaters across the galaxy locked in for May 28, 2027. The story unfolds just five years after The Rise of Skywalker's climactic events.
The bombshell announcement dropped at Star Wars Celebration, revealing that filming will kick off this autumn. Gosling steps into the cockpit as a never-before-seen character in the Star Wars universe - though details remain under tighter security than a Death Star blueprint.
The internet collectively smiled when Gosling shared a priceless childhood relic - his vintage Star Wars bedsheets - after landing the role of a lifetime. His mom apparently dug up the nostalgic photo the moment he got the call.
Ryan Gosling, future starfighter pilot, proves he's been Force-dreaming of this role since childhood.
