Get ready for a massive wave of new content in RuneScape! Jagex recently dropped a comprehensive roadmap outlining updates planned for 2024 and 2025, showcased in their latest "RuneScape Ahead" video. Let's explore the highlights:
Key Updates:
Group Ironman Mode (Late 2023): Team up with up to four friends for a collaborative Ironman experience. No outside assistance allowed – it's pure teamwork!
The Gate of Elidinis (Autumn 2023): Confront this challenging new Skilling Boss within the Sanctum of Rebirth, part of an upcoming major story quest.
Story Quests Galore (Ongoing): Multiple story quests are on the way, including a winter release revisiting classic storylines and focusing on unfinished business with Amascut in the desert. This culminates in a new end-game boss fight against Amascut, the Devourer.
110 Skilling Updates (2024 & 2025): Expect significant expansions to various skills. Woodcutting and Fletching updates arrive this year, featuring a new skill tree and weapons. RuneCrafting and Crafting 110 updates are slated for 2025.
Seasonal Events: The "Harvest Hollow" seasonal event debuts later this year with a new quest, spooky rewards, and themed activities. The popular "Christmas Village" event also returns, bringing new quests, festive fun, and holiday rewards.
Future Additions (Late 2025): A large new area expansion is planned, along with highly requested features such as new combat achievements, a fourth Necromancy conjure ability, and a new Slayer Monster.
