TouchArcade Rating: Following the mobile release of the monster-collecting game Coromon by TRAGsoft (initially launched on PC and Switch), a roguelite spin-off is on the horizon: Coromon: Rogue Planet (Free). Scheduled for release next year, this title will be available on Steam, Switch, iOS, and Android. Coromon: Rogue Planet seamlessly integrates the turn-based combat of its predecessor with roguelite elements, promising endless replayability within its monster-collecting framework. The Steam page highlights 10 dynamically changing biomes, 7 playable characters, over 130 monsters, and more. Check out the official announcement trailer below:
The original Coromon is a free-to-play mobile game. It will be interesting to see how Coromon: Rogue Planet performs on mobile upon its release, and whether it launches simultaneously with the Switch and Steam versions. You can add Coromon: Rogue Planet to your Steam wishlist here. While I haven't played Coromon recently, the gameplay described for Coromon: Rogue Planet sounds significantly more engaging. Based on the Steam screenshots, it appears ideally suited for quick play sessions. In the meantime, you can download the original Coromon for free on iOS here. What are your initial thoughts on Coromon: Rogue Planet? Have you played the original Coromon?
