In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, early side quests in Tachov and Zhelejov offer a choice between aiding Prochek or Olbram. This guide details both questlines, "Mice" and "Frogs," and explores whether completing both is possible.
Can You Help Both?
While Tachov and Zhelejov are at odds, cleverly navigating the quests allows you to largely complete both Prochek and Olbram's missions. While a completely positive outcome for both is impossible, this approach maximizes the game's narrative depth.
Prochek vs. Olbram: Which to Choose?
Ultimately, choosing between Prochek and Olbram makes little difference in terms of overall game progression. Both quests involve sabotage; the choice depends on personal preference.
Olbram's "Frogs" quest involves stealing Zhelejov's maypole, requiring nighttime stealth and potentially charming a guard. Prochek's "Mice" quest tasks you with painting Olbram's bull blue, demanding dye from the tailor and a lullaby potion recipe from Radovan.
"Mice" presents a slightly higher difficulty, particularly early in the game. Resource limitations (groschen) and Speech skill checks might make Olbram's quest easier initially.
Prochek's "Mice" Quest:
Speak to Prochek in Tachov (or the innkeeper if he's unavailable). This initiates the quest.
- Dye and Lullaby Potion: Purchase dye from Bartoshek the tailor in Troskowitz. Obtain the lullaby potion recipe from Radovan (either through apprenticeship or charm). The recipe requires oil, poppy, and thistle (found near the Troskowitz apothecary). Brew the potion, then in Zhelejov, administer it to the bull, paint it, and report back to Prochek.

Olbram's "Frogs" Quest:
Find Olbram near Zhelejov's meadow. Agreeing to retrieve the maypole begins the quest.
- Stealing the Maypole: Proceed to Tachov at night. Henrik guards the maypole. You can knock him out or (with sufficient Speech) charm him into leaving by arranging a date with Manka. Once Henrik's gone, chop down the maypole and return to Olbram. He'll then request you chase sheep from a Tachov pasture and deliver a digestive potion to Alshik. You can choose to complete this or inform Prochek, concluding both quests.
This guide covers the core aspects of the "Mice" and "Frogs" quests. Consult other resources for additional Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 strategies and information.
