Pokémon Sleep Development Transitioned to Pokémon Works
The Pokémon Company's subsidiary, Pokémon Works, will assume responsibility for the development and future updates of Pokémon Sleep. This marks a shift from the previous developer, Select Button.

From Select Button to Pokémon Works: A Smooth Transition
Initially, development and operation of Pokémon Sleep were a joint venture between Select Button Co. Ltd. and The Pokémon Company. However, an in-app announcement (initially appearing in the Japanese version) revealed a gradual transition of these responsibilities to Pokémon Works. The global app's news section hasn't yet reflected this change.

Pokémon Works: A New Chapter for Pokémon Sleep
Pokémon Works, established in March 2024, is a collaborative venture between The Pokémon Company and Iruka Co., Ltd. Located in Shinjuku, Tokyo, the company's proximity to ILCA (developers of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, and a co-developer of Pokémon HOME) is noteworthy. Representative Director Takuya Iwasaki highlighted Pokémon Works' prior contribution to Pokémon HOME and expressed a vision of making the Pokémon experience more immersive and accessible to all. The specific implementation of this vision within Pokémon Sleep is yet to be unveiled.
