Dynamax Legendary Birds Make Their Debut
Featuring the Legendary Trio: Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres
Prepare to encounter the massive forms of Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres in Pokemon GO between January 20 and February 3. These powerful legendary Pokemon will appear in special five-star Max Raid Battles at designated Power Spots.
Each member of this legendary trio will rotate weekly during the event period:
- Dynamax Articuno: January 20
- Dynamax Zapdos: January 27
- Dynamax Moltres: February 3
Each Pokemon will remain available for a full week after its initial release. Special "Legendary Flight Timed Research" will offer encounters with potential Shiny Pokemon perfect for taking on these powerful legendaries, along with valuable Candy and Max Particles to strengthen your team.
Timed Research schedule (local time):
- Articuno: January 17 (10:00 AM) - January 20 (7:00 PM) - Encounter Charmander, Beldum, Scorbunny
- Zapdos: January 24 (10:00 AM) - January 27 (7:00 PM) - Encounter Drilbur, Cryogonal, Grookey
- Moltres: January 31 (10:00 AM) - February 3 (7:00 PM) - Encounter Squirtle, Krabby, Sobble
Victini Returns for Pokemon GO Tour: Unova
Pokemon GO has revealed new details about the global Pokemon GO Tour: Unova event. All players will receive a free Tour Pass starting February 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM, letting them earn Tour Points and rewards until March 2 at 6:00 PM local time.
Upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe offers immediate access to Victini and the exclusive Lucky Trinket item. This powerful new item lets you set Lucky Friend status for guaranteed trading advantages (boosted stats and lower power-up costs), though it's single-use per activation.
