- Three new Pokémon are joining the Pokémon Unite roster.
- Empoleon arrives on September 19th, followed by Dhelmise and Vaporeon.
- Groudon will also appear in the Theia Sky Ruins starting September 4th.
Whoever first imagined Pokémon as a MOBA must be a kind of mad genius. As unusual as the concept was, it has clearly resonated with a huge audience. Fans will be thrilled to learn that the massive brawls of Pokémon Unite are expanding with three new combatants.
These three new arrivals will be spaced out. Empoleon leads the charge on September 19th, with Dhelmise and Vaporeon following at a later date. They will join an already impressive lineup of Pokémon battling it out in this League of Legends-style MOBA.
Meanwhile, players venturing into the jungle should be prepared: Groudon is set to begin appearing in the Theia Sky Ruins starting September 4th! Defeat it to gain a special buff for your Pokémon. If you manage to defeat a Groudon that already has this buff, the effect will transfer to you!

More 'Mons on the Way
While the wait may feel long, many players will be excited to know three additional characters are coming to Pokémon Unite. They are sure to shake up the popular competitive scene as well.
For now, there's already plenty to enjoy in the game. Pokémon Unite masterfully combines the core MOBA formula popularized by League of Legends with the iconic abilities and creatures of the Pokémon universe. If Groudon's inclusion is any indication, we can likely expect more legendary Pokémon to emerge in the jungle lanes soon.
