A Blast from the Past: Remembering Pokémon Gold & Silver
Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver revolutionized the Pokémon world with innovative features. The games, critically acclaimed for their groundbreaking additions, introduced a dynamic in-game clock affecting Pokémon appearances and events, and expanded the Pokémon universe with 100 new Gen 2 Pokémon, including fan favorites like Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, and Lugia. Their legacy continues with the 2009 Nintendo DS remakes, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
