Niantic has unveiled the exciting details for Pokémon GO Fest 2025, along with two additional January events. Let's dive into the upcoming festivities!
Pokémon GO Fest 2025: A Global Celebration
The Pokémon GO Fest 2025 will be a three-day extravaganza held in three global cities throughout June 2025:
- Osaka, Japan: May 29th - June 1st
- Jersey City, New Jersey, USA: June 6th - June 8th
- Paris, France: June 13th - June 15th
More event specifics will be revealed in March 2025. Remember, event details are subject to change, but we'll keep you updated.
Pokémon GO Fest is renowned for its exclusive in-game items, gameplay enhancements, and bonuses. In-person events offer unique experiences and city-specific features. Tickets are required for both in-person and online participation. Expect encounters with rare Pokémon unavailable through standard gameplay, increased Shiny Pokémon rates, and location-based encounters.
In-person attendees can enjoy exclusive merchandise, habitat-themed collections, community hubs, and team lounges for connecting with fellow trainers. While details are still under wraps, expect a similar format to previous years' events.
Two More Pokémon GO Events This January!
In addition to the GO Fest announcement, Niantic announced two exciting January events:

Fashion Week: Taken Over: January 15th, 2025 (12:00 pm) - January 19th, 2025 (8:00 pm) local time. Rescue Shadow Palkia from Team GO Rocket and Giovanni. Shroodle and Grafaiai debut, hatching from 12 km Eggs. Other Shadow Pokémon will appear, and you might even spot a fashionably dressed Croagunk!

Shadow Raid Day (Ho-Oh): January 19th, 2025 (2:00 pm - 5:00 pm) local time. Participate in Five-Star Shadow Raids to catch Shadow Ho-Oh. A $5 USD ticket grants eight Raid Passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances, 2x Stardust, and 50% more XP from Raids. Shiny Ho-Oh will be more common, and lucky trainers can teach their Ho-Oh the signature move Sacred Fire using a Charged TM.
