Pokémon Go's Holiday Event Part One: Festive Fun from December 17th to 22nd!
Get ready for some holiday cheer in Pokémon Go! Niantic's Holiday event kicks off its first part from December 17th to 22nd, bringing a flurry of bonuses, special Pokémon encounters, and seasonal challenges.
This event doubles your XP for catching Pokémon and halves egg hatching distances. A new costumed Dedenne, sporting festive attire, makes its debut, with a chance to snag a shiny variant. Making its first appearance is the Shiny Sandygast!
Explore the wild to find Alolan Sandshrew, Swinub, and Darumaka. Raids offer a festive roster: One-star raids feature Pikachu (Winter Carnival outfit) and Psyduck (holiday attire). Three-star raids challenge you with Glaceon (Undersea Holiday outfit) and Cryogonal. Mega Latias and Mega Latios headline the Mega Raids.
Seven-kilometer Eggs hold the potential to hatch Hisuian Growlithe or a holiday-ribbon-adorned Cubchoo. Complete event-themed Field Research tasks (including a $2.00 Timed Research option) for encounters with costumed Pokémon, Premium Battle Passes, and other rewards.
