GungHo Entertainment, creators of the crossover card battler Teppen, are developing a retro-style RPG in collaboration with Disney. This upcoming title, Disney Pixel RPG, promises a diverse roster of pixel art Disney characters.
Players will assemble a team of iconic Disney figures and engage in battles across various Disney-themed worlds. The gameplay blends auto-battling with opportunities for direct player control during key moments. Expect a mix of combat, action, and rhythm-based challenges.
Customization is key; players can create and personalize their own unique character to fight alongside their favorite Disney heroes. The narrative centers around battling rogue programs that have infiltrated the pixelated Disney worlds.
A Retro Revival
This isn't GungHo's first foray into large-franchise crossovers. Given Disney's extensive library of films and properties, this game promises an even broader range of characters than previous titles. Disney Pixel RPG leverages GungHo's expertise in managing expansive character rosters.
