Pikmin Bloom is preparing to celebrate its 3.5th anniversary next month. For the occasion, Niantic is reintroducing some nostalgic gadgets into the game. The festivities begin with a new event starting on May 1st, 2025.
This Update Is a Fun Throwback to Classic Nintendo Era!
Over the years, Pikmin Bloom has introduced many playful decor items, such as Pikmin dressed as Mahjong Tiles and Playing Cards. For the 3.5th anniversary, the game is bringing back iconic Nintendo game consoles from the 1980s and 1990s.
A Playing Card (Clubs Suit) Decor Pikmin is also being added. This pays homage to Nintendo's origins, when the company produced playing cards before entering the video game industry. The card designs are based on Nintendo's classic playing card decks.
The event will run from May 1st to May 31st, 2025, giving players a full month to complete missions and collect new Pikmin. Each time you complete an Event Challenge, you'll receive random rewards such as Game Button Cells, seedlings that grow into Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 Decor Pikmin, and flower petals.
Additionally, Brilliant Mushrooms will appear throughout the event. Destroying these mushrooms rewards you with Mystery Boxes containing items like Game Button Cells, flower petals, and more. Nintendo Consoles ‘80-‘95 or Playing Card Decor Pikmin are especially effective at defeating these mushrooms.
Big Flowers Also Arrive for Pikmin Bloom’s 3.5th Anniversary in May
Throughout May, Big Flowers can bloom into carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, or anniversary roses when you plant red, yellow, white, or blue petals around them.
A nectar update is also being implemented, meaning fruit collected from mushrooms in May will now provide nectar for both standard flowers and special varieties like carnations, sweet peas, lilies of the valley, freesias, canola flowers, and anniversary roses.
Several other activities are planned, including Community Day. Download Pikmin Bloom from the Google Play Store and get ready for the 3.5th anniversary celebrations.
