Choosing Your Steed in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2: Pebbles vs. Herring
In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, reclaiming a trusty steed is a crucial part of your journey. After the prologue's unfortunate events, you face a choice between two horses: Pebbles and Herring. Which should you choose?

Pebbles: This loyal companion awaits you at the Semine estate before the Semine-Agnes wedding. Acquiring her requires a purchase, but she's a familiar face, having been Henry's horse before the game's start. Her initial stats might seem modest, but after riding approximately 35 kilometers, she receives a significant stat boost, resulting in:
- 217 Stamina
- 353 Capacity
- 53 Speed
- 12 Courage
Herring: Herring becomes available after completing "For Whom the Bell Tolls," offered by Otto von Bergow. If you already possess another horse, you can sell Herring to Kabat for 300 Groschen. Herring boasts initially higher base stats than Pebbles, but his stat boost, unlocked after a longer 50-kilometer ride, doesn't necessarily surpass Pebbles' post-boost capabilities.
The Verdict:
While Herring's initial stats are appealing, Pebbles ultimately emerges as the superior choice. Her lower acquisition cost (potentially free), faster stat boost unlock, and sentimental value make her a reliable and cost-effective option. Considering the extensive travel in the game, a trustworthy steed is essential, and Pebbles perfectly fits the bill. Her boosted stats offer a solid balance, making her an excellent long-term companion for Henry.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
