Palworld Update 0.5.0: Crossplay, Blueprint Upgrades, Photo Mode Added

The latest update for *Palworld*, version v0.5.0, brings a game-changing feature: crossplay across all platforms, enabling a seamless gaming experience for players everywhere. This update also introduces the ability to store Pal data in the Global Palbox and transfer Pals between worlds, revolutionizing how players manage their creature collections. A new storage system, the Dimensional Pal Storage, offers 10 times the capacity of the regular Palbox. This system can be accessed by guild members and can also be set to private, giving players flexible storage options.

In addition to these major updates, *Palworld* players can now enjoy a cosmetic armor system that allows them to change their character's appearance without affecting armor stats, a new photo mode for capturing stunning in-game moments, a Drafting Table for upgrading blueprints, and dedicated servers for Mac users. These enhancements promise to enrich the gameplay experience significantly.

Developer Pocketpair is not stopping there; they are actively working on adding dedicated servers for the PlayStation 5 version, which will be released in the future. Since its early access launch in January 2024, *Palworld* has amassed an impressive 32 million players. Looking ahead, Pocketpair has outlined an ambitious content roadmap for 2025 that includes not only crossplay but also an "ending scenario" and more new content for this hugely popular creature-catching survival game.

*Palworld* debuted on Steam for $30 and was available on Game Pass for Xbox and PC, breaking sales and concurrent player number records. The game's phenomenal launch led to unprecedented profits, which Pocketpair initially struggled to manage. In response to the game's success, Pocketpair signed a deal with Sony to create Palworld Entertainment, aimed at expanding the IP and bringing the game to the PS5.

However, the game's success has also attracted legal attention. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company have filed a lawsuit against Pocketpair, alleging infringement on "multiple" patent rights and seeking an injunction and compensation for damages. Pocketpair has responded by identifying the specific patents in question and making adjustments to how players summon Pals in *Palworld*. The studio remains steadfast, vowing to defend its position in court.

▼Specification Adjustments
・Buildings can now be placed even if they overlap with a Pal
・When connecting foundations or roofs, the connected pieces will now automatically align in the same direction
・Assigning an Ice Pal to the Flea Market will slow down item decay in storage and sales
・Added torches at the entrances of random dungeons for better visibility
・Players can now sit on chairs and cushions
・Some weapons that dealt ultra-high damage to trees will no longer drop items upon destruction
・Added new NPCs and improved NPC behaviour during conversations

▼Balance Adjustments
・Adjusted elemental chest rewards. Dog Coins will always drop from these chests and they also have a small chance of containing work suitability books. (Existing chests in current worlds will retain old drop tables; new ones will follow the updated table.)
・Increased EXP gained from defeating the Attack Chopper
・Increased the DPS of Flamethrowers
・Adjusted the default attack used by Electric and Dark Pals when all active skills are on cooldown, making them more in line with the other elements
・Some human NPCs now have work suitability and work animations when assigned tasks at a base
・Summoned raid bosses can no longer damage other bases
・Added Water attribute to Dumud
・NPC event rewards have been adjusted. To maintain fairness, all NPC conversation logs have been reset, allowing players to claim rewards again!

・Holding the +/- button in the Pal Soul Enhancement UI will now continuously increase/decrease values
