Marvel's Moon Knight: Future Appearances Confirmed, But No Season 2
While a second season of Moon Knight on Disney+ is off the table, Marvel Studios head Brad Winderbaum assures fans that Oscar Isaac's character will reappear in the MCU. This shift in strategy stems from a change in Marvel Television's approach.
Previously, Marvel Television focused on introducing characters through standalone series before integrating them into larger MCU projects, as seen with Ms. Marvel and The Marvels. However, the division is now adopting a more traditional television model, aiming for annual releases.
Winderbaum clarified this change in direction: "Moon Knight was part of a wave of shows establishing characters for future tie-ins. Moving forward, our priorities have shifted to shows that can exist as annual releases, more like traditional television. I'd love a Moon Knight Season 2, but there are plans for Moon Knight down the road."
While Isaac voiced Moon Knight in Marvel's What If…?, his return in live-action remains unannounced.
The MCU's upcoming Disney+ slate includes Daredevil: Born Again (March), Ironheart (June), Eyes of Wakanda (August), Marvel Zombies (October), and Wonder Man (December). Recently, development on Nova, Strange Academy, and Terror, Inc. was reportedly paused, but Winderbaum hinted at exploring a potential Defenders reunion.
