Marvel's Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Animated Series Renewed for Seasons 2 and 3

The Disney+ animated series chronicling Peter Parker's freshman year of high school, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, has received early renewals for both Season 2 and Season 3.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' head of streaming, television, and animation, revealed this exciting news to The Movie Podcast. Remarkably, Season 2 is already well underway, with completed scripts and half of the animatics finished, even before Season 1 premieres on January 29th.

Winderbaum expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics. What [lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off...and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

He further mentioned upcoming meetings with Trammell to discuss the Season 3 pitch, although release dates for either season remain undisclosed.
