Marvel's The Thing and Human Torch Unveil February Release

Feb 23,2025 Author: Ellie

Marvel Rivals' Fantastic Four expands on February 21st, 2025, with the arrival of The Thing and Human Torch as playable characters. This launch coincides with a Season 1.5 update, promising significant balance adjustments, as detailed in a recent developer blog post.

Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, introduced at the start of Season 1, significantly altered the game's dynamic. The Thing and Human Torch are expected to have a similar impact, though specific abilities remain undisclosed. Hopefully, NetEase will offer gameplay previews soon.

The update also includes a rank reset for Ranked players. A four-division demotion will occur on February 21st (e.g., Diamond I becomes Platinum II). Future season resets will involve a six-division drop, while mid-season updates will maintain the four-division drop. NetEase plans to adjust this system as needed based on player feedback.

Positive changes include new cosmetic rewards for Gold-ranked players and the introduction of Crests of Honor for top-performing players (Grandmaster, Celestial, Eternity, and One Above All – the top 500).

Creative director Guangyun Chen previously committed to releasing a new character every six weeks. Speculation points towards Blade as the next addition, although this remains unconfirmed.
