Marvel Rivals Competitive Rank Reset: A Comprehensive Guide
Marvel Rivals, the free-to-play Marvel-themed PvP hero shooter, features a competitive mode with rank progression. This guide details the competitive rank reset mechanics.
Competitive Rank Reset Mechanics
At the end of each season, your competitive rank drops seven tiers. For example, a player ending the season at Diamond I will begin the next at Gold II. Players ending in Bronze III will remain there.
Rank Reset Timing
The rank reset occurs at the season's conclusion. Season 1, commencing January 10th (at the time of writing), serves as an example.
All Competitive Ranks

Competitive mode unlocks at player level 10. Progression involves earning points; every 100 points advances you to the next tier. The ranks are:
- Bronze (III-I)
- Silver (III-I)
- Gold (III-I)
- Platinum (III-I)
- Diamond (III-I)
- Grandmaster (III-I)
- Eternity
- One Above All (Top 500 Leaderboard)
Even after reaching Grandmaster I, you can continue earning points for Eternity and One Above All. One Above All requires a top 500 leaderboard placement.
Season Length
While Season 0 was shorter, subsequent seasons are anticipated to last approximately three months. New seasons will introduce content such as new heroes (e.g., Fantastic Four) and maps, providing ample time for rank climbing.
