Marvel Rivals Introduces 'Recursive Destruction' Feature in 'Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown'

Feb 02,2025 Author: Riley

Marvel Rivals Season 1 unleashes new characters, maps, and modes, including a fresh set of challenges rewarding players with free items, such as a Thor skin. This guide focuses on triggering Recursive Destruction in the Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown map.

What is Recursive Destruction?

The initial "Blood Moon Over the Big Apple" challenge requires triggering Recursive Destruction. This involves destroying Dracula-influenced objects that then reappear in their original state. However, not all destructible objects work; only specific ones will trigger the effect.

Locating Destructible Objects

To identify these objects, utilize Chrono Vision (keyboard "B" or console right D-pad button). Only objects highlighted in red will trigger Recursive Destruction.

Triggering Recursive Destruction in Midtown

This challenge requires playing Quick Match (Midtown) mode. Initially, no red-highlighted objects will be available. Wait for the first checkpoint; two buildings will then appear, highlighted in red, capable of triggering Recursive Destruction.

During the match, target these buildings. You might not always see the reappearance due to the fast-paced action, but hitting them several times should complete the challenge. If unsuccessful, simply replay the match. After completing this, focus on subsequent challenges involving Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman.

This concludes the guide on triggering Recursive Destruction in Marvel Rivals' Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown.
