Lies of P: DLC and Sequel Announced – A Director's Message

Director Ji-Won Choi recently treated Lies of P fans to a celebratory message, offering a glimpse into upcoming DLC and a highly anticipated sequel for the steampunk Soulslike game.
Celebrating Lies of P's First Anniversary
A year after Lies of P's successful launch, developer NEOWIZ shared an emotional letter from Choi, expressing gratitude to the community for their unwavering support. The team, Choi revealed, worked diligently through Korea's summer heat to develop the upcoming DLC. He emphasized the importance of fan feedback in shaping the DLC's development, promising to build upon the game's strengths while addressing previously identified issues. Choi stated the goal is to "do better on what we did well and improve in areas we have room to grow," highlighting the commitment to refining the core gameplay experience.
DLC Teaser: A Snowy Outpost and a Mysterious Lighthouse
The letter's highlight was a sneak peek at the DLC's content. Choi unveiled concept art depicting P in a snowy, desolate location, gazing towards a foreboding lighthouse. The image hints at a new, challenging area filled with danger, consistent with the base game's atmosphere.

A new musical piece from the DLC's soundtrack, titled "Lisrim," was also shared. While labeled as "new," the composition by "onoken" dates back to 2022. The accompanying music video, however, is original and visually complements the game's style.
DLC Release Date and Future Plans
While a precise release date remains unannounced, NEOWIZ's Q1 2024 Earnings Results indicate a launch sometime during the second half of 2024. The DLC will be released alongside several other NEOWIZ titles:
- The Legend of Heroes: Gagharv Trilogy
- Cats & Soup: Malang Town
- Cats & Soup: Magic Recipe
- Project IG
Previously released concept art showcases two distinct environments: an imposing industrial facility and a treacherous shipwreck.

Choi concluded by assuring fans that the DLC is just the beginning, hinting at a full sequel in development. While players await further details, the director expressed his hope to transform anticipation into delight.
