Crystal Dynamics and Lost in Cult Announce New Legacy of Kain Projects

Crystal Dynamics, in collaboration with UK-based Lost in Cult and Cook and Becker, has announced two exciting additions to the Legacy of Kain universe. Following the December 2024 release of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered, these projects aim to further immerse fans in the world of Nosgoth.

The Book of Nosgoth: An Official Encyclopedia

The first project, The Book of Nosgoth, is a comprehensive encyclopedia penned by Nic Reuben of Rock Paper Shotgun. This official guide delves into the rich lore of Nosgoth, providing detailed information on locations, factions, characters, and a timeline of the Kain and Raziel saga. Beyond the lore, the book will feature behind-the-scenes content, including concept art, sketches, maps, and developer interviews, offering a deep dive into the creation of all five Legacy of Kain games.

Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan – A Tabletop RPG

The second project is Legacy of Kain: Scourge of Sarafan, a tabletop role-playing game using the MÖRK BORG ruleset. Set during the Sarafan Order's crusade, players take on the roles of warrior priests hunting vampires. The game features six playable classes, unique weapons and spells, a bestiary of creatures, and the entire landscape of Nosgoth, promising a high-stakes, mechanics-light experience focused on vampire hunts, hidden history, and spectral incursions.
