Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is a sprawling adventure, and while technically conquerable in one marathon session, that's hardly advisable. This guide details the various save methods within the game.
Three primary methods exist for saving your progress: automatic saves, sleeping, and using Saviour Schnapps. Let's examine each.
The game employs a robust auto-save system. While it won't save during casual exploration, it diligently saves progress during quests. Significant quest milestones and checkpoints trigger automatic saves. The game provides ample save slots, facilitating easy reversion to previous points. However, remember that auto-saving is inactive during free-roaming exploration, so caution is advised during unscripted encounters.
Interacting with beds or bedrolls at campsites initiates a rest period, simultaneously saving your game.
Similar to its predecessor, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features Saviour Schnapps for manual saving. Standard Schnapps offers a health boost (10 HP) and temporary stat increases (Strength, Vitality, Agility +1 for 3 minutes). A weaker variant solely saves the game.
