Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal Debut: $16 Million in First-Month Revenue
Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by an astounding 40 times, highlighting its immense popularity. The game's success is largely attributed to its strong performance in China, where it garnered over 5 million downloads.
Developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), Infinity Nikki launched in December 2024, captivating players with its enchanting Miraland setting and unique gameplay. Players guide Nikki and her cat, Momo, through diverse nations, solving puzzles and overcoming challenges using magically-enhanced outfits powered by Whimstars. The core dressing-up mechanic is interwoven with a compelling narrative.
The game's financial success is undeniable. AppMagic data (via Pocket Gamer) reveals impressive weekly earnings: $3.51 million in its launch week, $4.26 million in the second, and $3.84 million in the third. While weekly revenue decreased to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million. This dwarfs the first-month revenue of Love Nikki ($383,000) and significantly outperforms Shining Nikki's international launch ($6.2 million). It's important to note that these figures represent mobile platform earnings only.
Infinity Nikki's Record-Breaking Success
China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's triumph, accounting for over 42% of total downloads. Daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, then fluctuated. While daily earnings dipped below $500,000 by December 21st, reaching a low of $141,000 on December 26th, the release of Version 1.1 on December 30th spurred a significant revenue surge to $665,000 – nearly triple the previous day's earnings.
Infinity Nikki is available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The developers plan to sustain the game's momentum through regular updates and seasonal events, such as the Fishing Day Event, ensuring continued player engagement.
