Playing cricket in narrow alleys often proves more thrilling than traditional fields—especially in India. The indie studio 5th Ocean Studios has launched its new cricket game, Gully Gangs: Street Cricket, in open beta for Android.
Not Your Typical Cricket Game
Gully Gangs: Street Cricket brings fast-paced 4v4 multiplayer action straight to India's bustling gullies—the local term for tight alleyways.
As the first-ever 4v4 street cricket experience, the game captures the sport's chaotic charm: rooftop catches, scooters obstructing play, and angry uncles yelling about broken windows. Players can also opt for intense 1v1 face-offs.
The game fuels the competitive spirit with power moves, in-game voice chat for trash talk, expressive emojis, and even some cheeky underhanded tactics. Each match unfolds in authentic Indian neighborhoods, complete with makeshift stumps, uneven pitches, and unpredictable wall bounces.
Deep customization options let players assemble their gang, deck them out in quirky outfits, and unlock unique skins.
Open Beta Now Live
5th Ocean Studios has ambitious plans for updates including fresh street locations, new costumes, seasonal events, clan battles, and a future esports mode. The studio will also introduce ranked leaderboards, daily challenges, and structured gang rivalries.
Currently available only on Android, Gully Gangs: Street Cricket will expand to iOS and Steam with full controller support and cross-platform play. Cricket enthusiasts can download it now on the Google Play Store.
