Get ready, gamers! Delta Force is set to make a global splash, thanks to Garena. Previously known as Delta Force: Hawk Ops, the tactical FPS is launching a PC Open Beta on December 5th, 2024. Mobile enthusiasts, mark your calendars for next year as the open beta for mobile devices will begin then.
If you're new to the scene, Delta Force was initially developed by NovaLogic. The project was later taken over by Tencent's TiMi Studios, the creators behind Call of Duty: Mobile. Now, Garena is partnering with them to bring Delta Force to various regions around the world.
One of the exciting features of Delta Force is cross-progression between PC and mobile. In 2025, Garena and TiMi are planning to roll out the game on both platforms across Southeast Asia, Taiwan, Brazil, Central and South America, the Middle East, and North Africa.
Let's dive into Warfare first, which is perfect for fans of large-scale battles. Imagine 32 versus 32 action, a full-blown war zone that spans land, air, and sea. Players are organized into squads of four operators, ready to tackle the chaos.
Then there's Operations, which shifts gears into an extraction shooter mode. Teams of three embark on high-stakes missions, scavenging for loot, evading enemies, and racing against time to reach an extraction point. The loot you gather can be used in future games or exchanged for in-game currency. You can also take down opponents to claim their gear and supplies. The map is filled with bosses, restricted areas, and special missions.
A rare item called MandelBrick is hidden within this mode. Finding it unlocks exclusive skins, but there's a catch—your location is broadcast to everyone else, adding an extra layer of thrill and danger. Curious about the game? Check out the trailer shared by Garena on YouTube.
The new Delta Force by Garena and TiMi promises sharp, realistic graphics and the tactical depth that the series is celebrated for. If you're a veteran of the original game that launched in 1998, you're in for a nostalgic treat.
