Transporting players to the medieval era, The Dark Ages promises a distinct gameplay experience from its predecessors. Players will embody a powerful, tank-like combatant, a far cry from the frenetic, parkour-heavy action of DOOM: Eternal. Expect grounded combat utilizing a robust arsenal to decimate hordes of demons.
Central to this demon-slaying arsenal are a shield and mace. A standout feature is the inclusion of a colossal mech suit for battling smaller demons, along with the exciting prospect of dragon riding during the campaign.
The game boasts a customizable difficulty system, allowing players to fine-tune the challenge by adjusting enemy damage output and other key parameters.
