After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen profession, the blacksmith's location on your map conveniently leads you to the bow. Even if you opt for the miller's path, this shortcut remains accessible.
The blacksmith's workshop is situated in Tachov, north of Troskowitz (the prologue's end point). Travel west from Troskowitz, following the path as it curves north. At the fork where a smaller road branches west, turn right towards a cluster of trees. This seemingly unremarkable area hides a small training ground.

Within this cluster, you'll find a target with arrows – free ammunition! To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, rests the Dogwood Village Bow. Help yourself to some nearby brew and mushrooms while you're at it.
Alternative Acquisition:
While purchasable from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, buying the Dogwood Village Bow isn't recommended due to its relatively weak power and the proximity of the free alternative. Vitek offers superior weapons, making it a better investment once you've earned some coin through alchemy.
Having a ranged weapon significantly improves combat, especially given the game's unchangeable difficulty settings. Whether you choose the free bow or save for a stronger weapon, a ranged option provides a tactical advantage.
After acquiring the bow, continue your questline by working as a blacksmith (saving after forging a sword) or proceeding to the miller. With a ranged weapon at your disposal, navigating Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's challenges becomes considerably easier.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
