Fortnite Teases Exciting Devil May Cry Partnership

Fortnite x Devil May Cry Collaboration Imminent, According to Leaks

Recent leaks suggest a highly anticipated crossover between Fortnite and the Devil May Cry franchise is on the horizon. While Fortnite leaks are frequent, and not all pan out, the persistent chatter surrounding a Devil May Cry collaboration, fueled by years of fan speculation, is gaining significant traction.

This potential collaboration comes amidst other anticipated additions to Fortnite, including the expected arrival of Hatsune Miku. While various character suggestions circulate, the possibility of revisiting past partnerships seems more likely. Given Fortnite's previous collaborations with Capcom (featuring Resident Evil characters), a Devil May Cry crossover appears increasingly plausible to many fans.

The rumor mill is churning, with Fortnite insider ShiinaBR citing information from leakers Loolo_WRLD and Wensoing on Twitter. These sources point to a soon-to-be-revealed collaboration. Interestingly, XboxEra co-founder Nick Baker initially mentioned this rumor in 2023, and the recent corroboration from multiple insiders adds weight to the speculation.

Timing and Character Speculation

Given the plethora of anticipated content for Fortnite in the coming weeks, some believe the Devil May Cry collaboration might launch after Chapter 6 Season 1. While the extended timeframe for confirmation has raised some eyebrows, Nick Baker's past successes in predicting collaborations (Doom and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) lend credibility to the current rumors.

Character selection remains a key question. While Dante and Vergil are the most iconic Devil May Cry characters and strong contenders, the recent Cyberpunk 2077 collaboration, which unexpectedly featured Female V, demonstrates that developers may surprise players. Following the pattern of offering male and female options, and considering past Capcom collaborations, characters like Lady, Trish, or Nico could also appear as playable skins. Nero (Devil May Cry 4) and V (Devil May Cry 5) are other popular choices.

With the leak resurfacing, anticipation is high for official confirmation and further details.
