Fortnite: Guide to All Oni Masks and Acquisition

May 01,2025 Author: Oliver

Fortnite Hunters elevates the excitement with a dynamic array of updates, including a Battle Pass featuring skins inspired by Japanese Mythology, along with powerful weaponry and items. Among these thrilling additions, the Oni Masks stand out as unique items exclusive to Fortnite Hunters, offering players mystical abilities for both offensive and defensive strategies. These masks include the Fire Oni Mask and the Void Oni Mask, both designed to provide a competitive edge in the quest for a Victory Royale. Here’s a comprehensive guide on every Oni Mask available in Fortnite and how to acquire them.

Updated on January 14, 2025, by Nathan Round: The Oni Masks remain a powerful asset, and while luck plays a role in obtaining them, there are now two guaranteed methods to secure these items. This guide has been updated to include how to obtain Oni Masks from Daigo, as well as another reliable location that offers both masks for free, every time.

All Oni Masks & How To Use Them

Void Oni Mask

The Void Oni Mask is a top choice for mobility in Fortnite. Equipping this mask allows players to throw a Void Tear using the Shoot Button. Once thrown, players can use the Aim Button to teleport to the Void Tear's location instantly. The Epic Variant offers 15 uses with a 5-second cooldown, while the Mythic Void Oni Mask increases this to 50 uses, providing even more strategic options during gameplay.

Fire Oni Mask

The Fire Oni Mask, in contrast, focuses on offensive capabilities. By pressing the Fire Button, players can launch a guided flame projectile that inflicts 100 damage to any opponent it hits. This projectile can also damage multiple enemies if they are grouped together. The Fire Oni Mask has 8 uses with an 8-second cooldown, whereas the Mythic variant extends this to 16 uses, enhancing its combat potential.

How To Get Oni Masks in Fortnite

Searching Elemental Chests

The most straightforward method to acquire Oni Masks is by looting Elemental Chests. These chests guarantee an elemental item, which can include both Boons and Oni Masks. While finding either the Void or Fire Oni Mask involves some luck, Elemental Chests are scattered across the Fortnite island, with named Points of Interest (POIs) offering the best chances of discovery.

Defeating Demon Warriors

Another way to obtain Oni Masks is by defeating Demon Warriors, located at designated spots marked by an Oni Mask icon on the map. While not every Demon Warrior will drop an Oni Mask, they can yield either a Void or Fire Oni Mask, depending on the one they carry. Additionally, defeating them might also provide Typhoon Blades and Fire or Void Boons.

Searching Chests

Fortnite Oni Masks LootingIn addition to battling bosses and looting Elemental Chests, Oni Masks can also be found by simply searching regular Chests. While this method requires more luck, all Chests have a chance to contain both the Fire and Void Oni Masks at Epic Rarity.

Purchase From Daigon

Daigon's Shop in FortniteFor those seeking a guaranteed way to obtain Oni Masks, players can purchase them from Daigo at Masked Meadows using Gold Bars. Both the Void and Fire Oni Masks are available for purchase, but this option is unlocked only after completing all stages of Daigo's Mask Expertise Quests.

Loot From Daigon's Hidden Workshop

For a hassle-free approach, players can visit Daigon's hidden workshop located beneath the building on the north side of Masked Meadows. Here, a machine with both the Void and Fire Oni Masks can be looted like a regular chest, offering a guaranteed way to secure these powerful items without any additional effort.

Defeating Bosses (Mythic Oni Masks Only)

To acquire the Mythic versions of the Oni Masks, players must confront specific bosses. The Mythic Void Oni Mask is dropped by Night Rose at Demon's Dojo, while the Mythic Fire Oni Mask can be obtained by defeating Shogun X at Shogun's Arena. These Mythic masks function similarly to their Epic counterparts but with increased uses, offering a significant advantage in battles.
