Floral Adventure and Puzzle Action Arrive on Switch

Jan 22,2025 Author: Jonathan

Greetings, fellow gamers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 26th, 2024! This edition is a bit lighter than usual – no reviews today due to other commitments. But we still have some new releases to cover, along with our regular sales updates. At least one of the new games looks promising, and the sales are pretty decent too. Reviews are planned for tomorrow, hopefully! Let's dive in.

New Game Releases

Fragrant Story and Papaya's Path ($7.99)

Let's clear up the confusion surrounding Fragrant Story, a late-stage Nintendo 3DS title. Initially released as a seemingly impressive tactical RPG, players were shocked by its incredibly short playtime (around 20 minutes). The truth? A tight deadline forced the release of an unfinished version. Subsequent updates transformed it into a much more substantial experience, exceeding ten hours of gameplay. This version includes all updates, making it a solid eight-dollar purchase for fans of the genre.

Quack Jump ($3.99)

A straightforward platformer, but a fun one nonetheless. With 40 levels and evolving mechanics, it offers decent replayability for its price.

Underground Station ($7.90)

An idle game where you work in a dungeon to pay off debts. It might not be visually stunning, but it's a welcome change of pace.

Sales

(North American eShop, US Prices)

Let's check those sales! Another Limited Run Games sale is underway, great news for collectors. Many of TROOOZE's titles are discounted (only a few are listed here), along with some Team17 offerings. Note that the recent Front Mission remake sale is ending soon. Grab them if you're interested, as these discounts seem infrequent.
