Marvel Studios has unveiled a teaser trailer for their upcoming film, The Fantastic Four: First Steps. The brief clip, titled "PREPARE 4️⃣ LAUNCH," depicts children excitedly rushing towards a shop window displaying vintage televisions. These screens showcase a rocket launch, the Fantastic Four donning spacesuits, and the "Prepare 4 Launch" message. The 1960s retro-futuristic setting is clearly established through the televisions and overall aesthetic. Two additional screens are partially obscured.

Marvel's "launch coverage" begins at 7 AM ET on February 4th (a less convenient 4 AM PT). The video description reads, "The Future Foundation invites you to take your first steps into a fantastic new era."

Scheduled for release on July 25th, 2025, the MCU film stars Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm/The Thing. Ralph Ineson portrays Galactus, and Julia Garner is cast as Silver Surfer. The ensemble cast also includes Paul Walter Hauser, John Malkovich, Natasha Lyonne, and Sarah Niles. Matt Shakman directs, with Kevin Feige producing under Marvel Studios.

Here's the official synopsis for The Fantastic Four: First Steps:

Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family — Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic (Pedro Pascal), Sue Storm/Invisible Woman (Vanessa Kirby), Johnny Storm/Human Torch (Joseph Quinn) and Ben Grimm/The Thing (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) as they confront their most formidable challenge yet. Balancing their heroic duties with their familial bonds, they must defend Earth from the voracious space god Galactus (Ralph Ineson) and his enigmatic Herald, Silver Surfer (Julia Garner). And if Galactus' planet-devouring scheme wasn't enough, it takes a deeply personal turn.

At New York Comic Con (NYCC) in October, attendees viewed artwork showcasing key MCU figures, including a first live-action glimpse of H.E.R.B.I.E. (Humanoid Experimental Robot B-Type Integrated Electronics).

Speculation abounds regarding Robert Downey Jr.'s potential return as Doctor Doom, either within The Fantastic Four: First Steps or through a teaser. Feige has confirmed the Fantastic Four's appearances in Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
