Epic Games' mobile store launch brings Fortnite, Fall Guys, and Rocket League Sideswipe to Android devices globally. To celebrate, Epic is offering exclusive in-game rewards, free games, and more.
Mobile Epic Games Store Game Lineup:
The initial focus is on Fortnite, Fall Guys (now mobile-playable and free!), and Rocket League Sideswipe. Downloading the Epic Games Store app and participating games unlocks exclusive cosmetics. These include a Fortnite outfit (with matching back bling, pickaxe, and wrap), a new Fall Guys bean costume, a Fall Guys-themed Fortnite pickaxe, and a gold vehicle trim usable in both Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe. These rewards are exclusive to mobile players.
Beyond the Big Three:
The mobile Epic Games Store isn't limited to Epic's own titles. Nearly 20 third-party games are available, and a free games program has launched. Currently, Dungeon of the Endless: Apogee is free on Android and iOS until February 20th. Other Playdigious titles, Shapez and Evoland 2, are also available, with Cultist Simulator coming soon. Bloons TD 6 is also on the way. While currently offering monthly free games, Epic plans to expand to weekly free game releases later this year.
Epic's initiative faces challenges posed by Apple and Google's restrictions on third-party app stores, but it's clearly pushing forward, expanding gaming accessibility. What are your thoughts? Share your comments below.
