Published by Untold Tales and crafted by Kautki Cave, Flame Keeper is a thrilling new rogue-lite now available on Android. Initially revealed in December 2022, the game hit PC in June 2024 after an early access launch on Steam in December 2023.
Sacrifice Your Essence to Forge Ahead
In Flame Keeper, you control Ignis, a blazing coal tasked with reviving the Eternal Flame in the decaying realm of Orbis. Skilled in combat, Ignis must use his own vitality to power each Fire Camp, gradually consuming himself as he restores light to the world.
The game offers dynamic punch combos, fiery dashes, powerful stomps, and devastating finishers to take down multiple enemies. Stamina is both your ally and your constraint—mismanaging it leaves you vulnerable and surrounded.
Each biome ramps up the challenge with increasingly diverse enemies, requiring constant adaptation. The Bestiary slowly unveils enemy strengths and weaknesses, though some lessons are learned through tough battles.
Progression hinges on customizing Ignis with skills and passive abilities. Collect seeds from foes to unlock new moves and complete tasks to earn runes, opening a wide range of build options.
Vulpis Village, a dynamic hub at the start of each stage, evolves with your progress. Here, you can upgrade abilities and structures using gathered resources, adding depth to the experience.
Can You Master the Flame?
Flame Keeper delivers a fresh concept with robust mechanics. It’s available on the Google Play Store for $4.99, with a launch discount currently dropping the price to $3.49.
