Funcom has released an engaging new trailer for Dune: Awakening, a multiplayer survival game set in Frank Herbert's iconic "Dune" universe. The trailer highlights the expansive deserts of Arrakis, giving players a preview of the challenges and possibilities that lie ahead.
In Dune: Awakening, exploration is crucial for survival. Players must traverse treacherous dunes to collect vital resources for building shelters and vehicles, including combat-ready ornithopters. A scanner simplifies resource gathering, while probes placed on high ground uncover key locations on the map.
These locations include wrecked spacecraft and deserted outposts. Accessing them often demands creative problem-solving, with tools like grappling hooks, power belts, and specialized equipment playing a critical role. All gear can be enhanced at your base with modular upgrades, keeping players ready for upcoming threats.
Dune: Awakening will launch in early access on May 20, exclusively for PC. Console versions are planned for a later release. Players can now create characters and evaluate system performance using the benchmark tool on Steam.
Mark your calendars: Dune: Awakening enters early access on Steam on May 20. The game’s page offers a character editor and performance-testing tools. A full release will expand the experience to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
