Godzilla, the iconic kaiju, stomps onto Fortnite's Battle Royale Island in Chapter 6! One lucky player per match gets to control this behemoth. Here's how to become Godzilla and how to defeat him if you're not the chosen one.

Becoming Godzilla in Fortnite

Starting January 17, 2025, a rift will randomly appear on the island. Be the first to find and enter it to transform into Godzilla!

As Godzilla, you'll unleash devastating attacks: a Roar to locate opponents, a Mighty Stomp Attack for knockbacks, and a powerful Heat Ray. However, be warned: the entire lobby will be gunning for you.

Defeating Godzilla in Fortnite

If you're not chosen to become Godzilla, prepare for an epic battle! Epic Games has strategically placed weak points on Godzilla. Hitting these weak points will cause Godzilla Fragments to drop, providing 40 health and three dash charges – crucial for mobility during the fight.

The Rail Gun, unvaulted for this event, is a powerful weapon against Godzilla. High-rarity weapons are also effective. The player inflicting the most damage on Godzilla earns the Godzilla Medallion (with a dash ability) and the exotic Burst Quad Launcher.

Even if you don't become Godzilla, defeating him offers rewarding prizes and bragging rights!
